Our Carbine Courses introduce students to the use of the modern carbine rifle (compact, semi-automatic rifle with a changeable magazine). You’ll learn the fundamentals of rifle marksmanship that will help you achieve its full potential for self-defense.

DEFENDER I

DEFENDER I

OVERVIEW: Defender I is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and the defensive use of a modern carbine rifle. Students of all skill levels will improve their accuracy and rifle shooting skills through drills and exercises with a strong emphasis on the fundamentals. This course is designed to build essential knowledge and gun handling skills to deploy and operate your carbine efficiently and effectively.

PREREQUISITES: None

1 DAY: 8 HRS

  • Carbine Safety Overview

  • Zeroing / Equipment Overview

  • Carbine Loading & Unloading

  • Basic Shooting Fundamentals

  • Recoil Management Overview

  • Carbine Body Mechanics

  • Positional Shooting

DEFENDER II

OVERVIEW: â€‹This class is a continuation of our Defender series. It includes additional drills, a qualification course of fire, field firing to 100 yards, and live fire malfunction clearance drills. A brief review of the topics and fundamentals of marksmanship from Defender I and move into more advanced drills. Students will continue to improve their carbine handling skills while reinforcing the fundamentals of marksmanship.
